Andy Adkisson

Andy Adkisson joined Troy Turrentine in the management of Tennessee Software Solutions (TSS) in 2008, bringing with him over 10 years of experience as a systems engineer. He originally began working with technology at the core network infrastructure level. It was during this time that he acquired CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSA 2000) and CISCO certification (CCNA). To further his education, Andy went back to school where he earned his Associate of Occupational Science in Information Technology from Tennessee Institute of Electronics (now Fountainhead College of Technology) with Highest Honors in 2003.

After graduating, Andy continued performing contract work for various IT companies in the Knoxville area until Child and Family Tennessee hired him full time (in addition to contract work, Andy had been part time IS support at Child & Family while in school). At Child and Family Tennessee, he assisted with several infrastructure upgrade projects including the migration from Novell systems to Microsoft systems. He also played a significant role in updating the delivery of applications to remote offices by migrating the existing Windows NT 3.51, Citrix and modem bank environment to Windows Terminal Server 2003 delivered via the Internet. He acquired his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification (MCSE) for the Windows 2000 platform in October of 2003.

In early 2004, Andy went to work for LBMC Technologies. Though not unhappy at Child & Family, he was given an opportunity he felt better suited his long term career objectives. Having already set the goal to obtain MCSA 2003 certification, Andy successfully accomplished this objective in March of 2004 and began working at LBMC Technologies three days later.

While at LBMC, Andy was introduced to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. Specifically, he worked with Microsoft Great Plains, Solomon and CRM (now the Dynamics line: GP, SL and CRM). During his 4+ year tenure he worked on several enterprise level projects and obtained Solomon Installation & Configuration Certification, Microsoft CRM Installation & Configuration Certification, Great Plains Master Certification (4 exams), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certification, and MCSE 2003 certification (April 2005). It was during this time that his understanding of applications, the technology driving them and integrating systems greatly matured.

Since joining Troy at TSS in 2008, Andy has become a partner in the business and continues to further his education. He works with the core technology that delivers the business software solutions TSS implements while focusing on further developing his Sage ERP and Sage CRM skill sets. He acquired Sage CRM Extended Enterprise Certification in June of 2009.
