Troy Turrentine
Troy Turrentine is a 1989 graduate from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BS in Business Administration. He began his career in retail store management working for two regional companies, Shoe Carnival and Carlyle & Co. Jewelers. During this time, Troy was responsible for product pricing, inventory and sales management. This experience has proven invaluable in understanding the day to day operations of Tennessee Software Solutions (TSS) clients. In 1996 he returned to school to study network engineering. This led to a career change with Clayton Homes, a Fortune 500 Company, currently owned by Berkshire-Hathaway. While at Clayton Homes he managed the desktop and application support for over 2,000 end-users using a multitude of systems and technologies. In 2001, Troy joined Coulter & Justus, PC as the Director of their Technology Solutions Group. Over the next six years he successfully grew the client base until he purchased the business unit from Coulter & Justus, PC in 2007. Today he is proud to provide exceptional customer service to both Sage and QuickBooks clients located throughout the Southeast as the President of TSS.
Over the last 8 years, Troy has obtained the following certifications - Certified Consultant for Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200 ERP systems, Certified Consultant for Sage FAS, and Certified Intuit Solution Provider for QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. He routinely attends training to maintain his expertise and knowledge on the systems used by the clients of TSS. He is experienced with Crystal Reports and regularly helps assists by designing reports.
Troy is active in the local Knoxville community. He provides technology advice as a member of the Board of Directors for Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service (SCHAS), a Knoxville, TN, based non-profit agency that provides a variety of services for our elderly citizens. He is active with AYSO Region 337 where he has coached in the U6 division for the last four years. Troy is also an active volunteer for Junior Achievement where he has taught the "Our Community" program to third graders for the last 8 years.
Previous Community Service includes serving for 6 years on the Board of Directors for Fountain City Business and Professional Association. During his tenure, Troy managed the primary fund raiser, the Bobcat Run, which provided scholarships to students at Central High School. For several years he was a Mentor with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization where he committed 1 hour a week for the school year to work with single parent children in Knoxville inner-city schools.
